The 2011 Ponte Vedra Golf & Country Club Championship was contested on October the 22^nd and 23^rd.  The blue tees were stretched to the back plates, and the wind was blowing on the second day.  The competition was close.  After one round, Steve O’Donoghue shot 73 and held a one shot lead over last year’s Champion, Jamie Montgomery, and five shots ahead of Gnat Heekin, Randy Mertens, and Andy Andreu.
